Meet Miss Patina Muse: Emma 🎨
Emma completed her BA at Vassar College in New York, a historically women’s college and one of the original Seven Sisters. She studied Art History and Medieval/Renaissance Studies and is now pursuing a PhD in Art History at The Courtauld, with the goal of becoming a professor. Read more...
A New Yorker who grew up on Long Island, Emma is Italian and has worked at a research institute in Italy. She loves classical music, especially Beethoven, and her favourite opera, Fidelio, reflects her admiration for stories about strong women
In her free time, Emma enjoys knitting and swing dancing. Her favourite TV show is The Young Pope, which supported her through Covid and connects to her love of 15th-century Italian aesthetics. Her favourite books include The Name of the Rose and The Count of Monte Cristo, and she is also a big fan of Seinfeld.
Emma discovered Miss Patina in 2018 after her mother gifted her a Sherlock Holmes jacket. She loves the brand’s classic vintage staples with a touch of whimsy - an idea that perfectly suits her, especially after being told she herself is whimsical, a description she happily embraced!
